INDIE

SHUFFLE

MUSIC APP

The challenge for indie shuffle is to create a way for users to play music quickly and create a playlist easily. The navigation for the current app is all over the place and there is some information that isn't important in the app. Engaging the user to listen and discover new music is important for a small music service to compete with other big music service app. The app appeals to most users because of the variety of music not many know what they are looking for, so discovering new music to them is important.

The Solution

The solution for the indie shuffle service is to have clear and quick navigation and secondary navigation for everything else. Allowing the user to quickly add songs to a playlist and organize playlist is important. The last thing is to engage the user with a full-screen image of the music and with a visualizer to enhance the user's experience.

User Testing

Users were asked to complete 2 tasks. The first task is to go through the app and discover new music, and the second task is to create a playlist with the new music they discovered.
